Allan has enacted a No Coddling policy which this blog officially endorses.
Follow The Rules.
Drink Your Water.
Do not complain about the scale not working if you inhale half your body weight in food.
And for those that have trouble with the whole calendar thingamajig, Thanksgiving ends at 12:00 AM Friday morning at which you point you should have long stopped eating.

I Have Fat Cancer
Tomorrow is our annual Thanksgiving potluck lunch at work. If you saw the list of what everyone else is bringing you would advise me to call in sick. There isn't a healthy thing on the menu - rich desserts and casseroles abound.
I am bringing roasted carrots and green beans. So at least there will be something I can eat.
If anyone gives me any guff I am going to use Allan's Fat Cancer line:

Option 2 Is A Go!
I have never in my life talked about poop so much but today I am all good in that department.
Thanks to Princess Dieter I am back in the poop.
And these?
They are the bomb diggity! They work super fast and made me feel oh, so much better.
ETA: And because this post is all about poop, how about some toilet humor courtesy of The Oatmeal? Yeah, I don't think those things work either.

Pumpkin & Oatmeal In A Cup
I made a batch of Roni's Pumpkin Oatmeal Cups tonight. I added cranberries to part of the batter and I think that they came out beautifully.
If you are looking for some new dishes to try with diet-friendly, healthy recipes then you cannot go wrong with Green Lite Bites.
Update: I had them for breakfast this morning (Thursday) and they are really good. I modified the recipe slightly by using Splenda Brown Sugar instead and going from 1/3 cup to 1/4 cup and I am glad that I did. They were pleasantly sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. The cranberries added a nice tartness. I think I will add some orange rind the next time I make these.

I Got Fries
Let me tell you they are so stinking good. They taste like real fries too.
I cut them thinner so that they would crisp up more and not be soft and it worked.
If you are trying to cut the carbs and sugar out of your diet then you must try these.
Yum.

I'm Just Not That Brave: Not Exposed
Wow!
I can post progress pictures (clothes on) for all of the world to see but that is the limit of my bravery.
These ladies (and a few men) are taking it off and getting Exposed.
That is on a whole other level.
I am about a year and a total body lift away from being able to do such a thing.

Jillian Michaels Says
Every time I have read something that Jillian Michaels has said or written, I am always inspired and motivated.
I have recently developed a love for Twitter. I've been reading different people and slowly gotten into tweeting myself. Today I found that Jillian Michaels has a Twitter account and I am in quote heaven.
These are some of my favorites:

These are some of my favorites:
- Shedding pounds isn't just a walk in the park. If you want to drop serious pounds and KEEP them off, you NEED to exercise. TWIM: I wish this weren't totally 100% true. Exercise is some hard, freaking work!
- Clear out your cabinets! Get rid of the junkfood - if you have it around, you'll eat it. Dump the junk and you won't be tempted. TWIM: I got rid of all food at home. I can't overeat if it doesn't exist. It is one of the best decisions I ever made.
- Each time you reach for food, ask yourself why? Once you know why you're eating too much, you can stop the sabotage and achieve your goals! TWIM: It is a lifestyle!
- When friends tell you how awesome you look, drop the, "I still have more to go", crap. You worked hard and you deserve the compliment! TWIM: I do this all the time. I.MUST.STOP.NOW.
- Walk! Once you've got your gym routine down, burn a few extra calories by walking whenever you can. You'll burn calories and save gas! TWIM: Walking is the easiest and cheapest form of exercise. Just do it!
- Learn your labels! Start comparing, and try to find the highest protein and dietary fiber, and the lowest carbs and fats. TWIM: Putting good things in your body really does help you find the energy to stay on course with a real program.
- Listen to your body! Learn to analyze your cravings and satisfy those needs with something healthy. Need a sweet - grab a piece of fruit! TWIM: I have adapted this over the past 9 months or so. Fruit is almost negligible in your daily calorie totals and it is SO good for you.
