This week I am down another 1.8 lbs.  Looking at the cumulative total of weight lost since I got back on track tells me that being consistent pays off eventually.  This 50.8 lbs lost is hard earned with daily focus and commitment.  It feels good to watch the number on the scale go down each week.  The best part about where I am now is that I am not stressing about the number.  I mean, sure, I love the lower number but I am not so much focused on the scale as I am on doing the work on a daily basis to lose the weight.  There is a big difference in how I view this process and how I feel about myself than there was when I began this journey on June 18th, 2008.

Fitness wise I am going strong and steady as well.  The training for the 5K is on track and I believe that I will be able to finish the race in 45 minutes or less.  The strength exercises are a blast with the squats being the most challenging for my less than graceful self.  I expect to fall on my butt every time I do them.  Coordination isn't my strong suit and losing weight isn't going to fix that.  I have been a klutz since the day I exited my mother's womb.

19 weeks back on plan and 50.8 lbs lost.
11 weeks on the DDDYC and 24.8 lbs lost.

Onward and Downward y'all!

Great weigh in! You are a weight loss superstar! Just proving the point that if you work at your diet hard, you will keep losing weight.

I hear you on the squats. Those aren't that hard for me but I'm anxious about the new pushups. I've never done reals ones. we girls got an out for pushups in gym where we only had to raise from the knees instead of the toes. Not sure how my toe will handle the pressure but I'm going to give it the old college try in a bit when I wake up and get some water in.

Another sister from another mister! I am also a klutz. Big time. There isn't a wall I haven't walked into, a corner I haven't bashed my bod against, a toe I haven't stubbed. lol Glad to know I am not the only ungainly one out there in bloggyland. :P

I need to start the squats and lunges. I hope that my knees hold up. :D

Great job! I struggle with squats too, but because of my knees. Practice will help:-)

WOOHOO!! all that good eating andrunning is paying off!! You are totally rocken the scale. 50 isa HUGE milestone. Just go to a gym and try to pick up a 50lbs dumbbell. Is a lot. A surprising amount of weight.

:D

You are doing great! Squats are not fun but with time they get easier. Never easy but easier. :)

Great job on the weight loss!

I'm the family klutz, though Pilates has helped a lot with balance and moving better. :) Fewer bruises and banged up toes and broken things from me bashing into them.

Your progress just keeps going. You will be out of the 220's in no time!!

Congrats on the loss this week!! I can't wait until I can think of the scale the way you do.

Squats don't bother me, but lunges? My knee makes it difficult to go as low as I should (just ask the virtual trainer on My Shape- I swear they have a tone..).
