Me 1, Temptation 'O Rama 0

The kitchen at work was loaded with carby treats of nearly every variety today:
  • chocolate cake donuts
  • chocolate glazed donuts
  • mini-chocolate cupcakes
  • white birthday cake (it was really baby shower cake)
  • cinnamon rolls
  • coffee cake

I walked right by them and got two glasses of water from the water cooler and my lunch out of the refrigerator (consisting of a black bean burger and mixed veggies BTW).

Can I just say that I cannot wait until January when all of these people go on diets when they make their resolutions?  I may have resisted, but damn that kitchen was like a Satan inspired temptation 'o rama.  Seriously!

And the guy that asked my advice yesterday confessed his sins about his lunch and that he had two of the mini-cupcakes in the kitchen.  I'm like the diet priest or something.  I gave him the guilt part and sent him on his way.

I'm taking the night off from working out.  I ate a bad banana today and I have a stomach ache.  I will spare you the other little gift it brought me.

Bwahahaha! I loved the you can't wait until New Year and everyone goes on diets. I almost spit Crystal Light all over my 'puter.

(Not about the bad banana gift. For that you get a "Poor you")

Good for you, bypassing all of the junk.

Oh, I hate those temptations at work. Especially now that it seems the norm for my group is to email everyone when they have yummy treats at their desk.

Way to go avoiding all of that. White birthday cake gets me everytime.

Love your blog and have added it to my blogroll. Have a great weekend.

omg...Office Kitchens are like the hell of the diet world. What is it about them and the sweets that get left there... Its crazy!

I've just told myself that you are not allowed to even look, no touch, no poke, no sliver. Water and back to the desk.

hope you enjoy the weekend and your banana didn't ruin it! :)

Welcome Tammy. There is something in that kitchen every day but Friday was the mother lode of naughty treats.

Tamzin, yeah I just walk on by as if they are not there but there was just so much yesterday. And the banana has passed. I'm all good now.
