Food Log: 12.31.08

The last day of 2008 ended the year on a good note. I ate within the points range I wanted.

My favorite new thing is dried fruits & nuts by peeled snacks that are now available at a movie theater in downtown Houston. I had the bing cherry/apple/peach/walnut/cashew blend. It is so nice to be able to have a snack at the movies that isn't high in fat or sugar. I know where I am going to the movies from now on. I won't have to fight myself to only order a diet soda and be satisfied. I can have a snack too. Awesome!

I really enjoy reading your blog. I have recently discovered it so I have not been foloowing very long. I just had a question. I have been doing weight watchers too, since October, I currently weight 251.5. I was looking at your food log and your points. It seems that your points allotment is a lot lower than mine. I currently get 33 points per day. Did you use the formula to calculate yours? Just curious. Keep up the great work!

Hey, Learning to be Less! Did you see Linda @ Operations Stick To It's post to you about your comments? Nobody can comment because your settings won't allow it.

And I am allowed 34 points daily by WW. But I have chosen to eat a lower amount. It works for me better. I have really come to need to eat a lot less through discipline and routine. It also helps me to take off about 10 pounds a month now. I like that pace.

I fixed the comments thing. Thanks! That is awesome! Congrats on the weight loss. I just like to make sure I am doing the math correctly. Sometimes I do not listen so well. At that pace you will be super skinny in no time!

What movie did you see?

I have such an issue with associating seeing a movie with eating a sugar bomb... what a great option!

Tamzin, that salon visit was instrumental in getting me motivated to lose this weight. It was highly traumatic.

Bella, Thank you. I have had a few people tell me that I am an inspiration. It is just unbelievable to me because I've always been such a diet failure. PastaQueen is my inspiration. She is the one that kept me going when I thought I would give up because I knew she had done it.

Wish my theater had a healthy snack! I usually pop a 100 cal popcorn and throw it in my purse!

Linda, I've thought about that too. But I just know if I ever tried to sneak anything in I would get caught. The fruit/nuts is the perfect snack - it is healthy and tasty and doesn't cost a boatload of WW points. Yay for progress!
